AVOID PROTESTS AND/OR DISQUALIFICATIONS

DOUBLE-CHECK COVER SHEETS AND SCRIPTS.  DO NOT SIGN THE COVER SHEET UNTIL YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT THE SCRIPT IS LEGAL AND MEETS ALL REQUIREMENTS.

REMIND STUDENTS THAT THE LINES DELIVERED IN THEIR PERFORMANCE MUST BE THE SAME AS THOSE IN THE SCRIPT APPROVED BY THE COACH, SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, LEAGUE PRESIDENT, AND AREA CHAIR AND SUBMITTED TO CHSSA.  LINES INTENTIONALLY OMITTED FROM THE SCRIPT BUT ADDED TO THE PERFORMANCE WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION.  

 

How to Fill out a cover sheet

Step 1: Download and print out coversheet

Step 2:Read the manuscript requirements on the second page and make sure that your speech meets these requirement.

Step 3: Have the student complete the initial check, fill out the appropriate sections, obtain their parents signature, and sign 

Step 4: Coach- Review manuscript and complete the check list on page 2, and sign. Submit manuscript to you administrator for signature.

Step 4: Submit to your league president. Submission deadlines and procedures vary by league so please contact your league president for specific requirements.
